Not sure if the time-check comes as welcome relief or panic for you, but for me July is an interesting turning point in the year. Spring always gives me a lift and new incentive to throw my life and work into top gear – the way I see it we have 5 months left to achieve our 2012 goals.
Suddenly those winter kilos are an inspiration, not a drag. Spring cleaning has begun. I’m clearing out the clutter both literally and figuratively, and I’m looking forward to turning up the music and finally painting the spare room!
Of course my new-found energy and focus extends to work. I’m really happy with my new website, Spring 2012 Wordsmith brochure and copywriting ‘tricks of the trade’ workshop, quietly developed over winter. And I just got back from Darwin where I ran my ‘True Life Stories’ workshop, which is always a creative pick-me-up – not to mention the amazing road trip through the green Red Centre!
I’m calling my new 120-day plan the ‘Get a jump on spring’ plan!

- Distribute new brochure
- Stay in touch with my client base
- Ask for referrals
- Seek networking opportunities
- Run more workshops
As well as writing and editing, I’m really keen to start sharing my copywriting expertise. I’ve had really good feedback while testing the new ‘tricks of the trade’ workshop and handbook, and am ‘ready when you are’ to deliver it to your staff or association members.
